Italiana Coke is a European leader company in coke manufacturing. Its production surpasses the volume of more than 400 thousand tons in his plant in San Giuseppe di Cairo, close to Savona (Italy). The company is certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, as proof of its excellence in quality and environmental management.
Its well-established position in the European Foundry and Metallurgical Coke market is ensured by Italiana Coke selection of the best coking coals from different US origins, which are then processed inside its plant through dry distillation.
Meanwhile Italiana Coke is liable of about 95% of Italian market needs, it also exports its products to Europe, and many countries Extra UE, ad Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt, Middle East, Canada, Brazil, Japan, South Africa and USA, underlining its global importance.
With its cogeneration plant, Italiana Coke produces annually 150 GWh of electrical energy, using the exceeding gas coming from coke production process. 75% of this energy is then distributed through the national network, meanwhile the remaining quality is used to meet the internal energy needs.
Raw materials and finished products logistics managed by Terminal Alti Fondali Savona, who belongs to the Italian Coke group. TAFS provides loading, unloading, transportation and storage of goods both to the plant and final customers. TAFS commitment also faces third part clients, which represent around 15% of its total volume.
